Pennsylvania first renewal: common questions
Does Pennsylvania require post-licensing education?
No. Instead, new salespersons renewing for the first time must complete a specific set of 14-hour CE modules developed by the Commission.
Which modules do new licensees take?
The General Module and either the Residential or the Commercial Module, through an approved education provider.
Do I need CE before my first license?
No. Continuing education isn't required for the initial license, only for renewals.
When is my first renewal?
All Pennsylvania real estate licenses expire on May 31 of even-numbered years, so your first renewal falls on the next May 31 of an even year.
