Oregon first renewal: common questions
What do new Oregon brokers need for their first renewal?
30 hours on or after January 1, 2026: the 2-hour Fair Housing course, the Law and Rule Required Course (LARRC) and the applicable Advanced Practices course.
What is the proficiency assessment?
HB 3137 requires licensees to pass an assessment of license proficiency before their first active renewal. It's part of the Advanced Practices course final.
What does the broker assessment cover?
Starting July 1, 2026, it presents case studies or scenarios involving a real estate transaction, a principal broker and supervised brokers, harm to a client or consumer, and conflict between buyers and sellers or their agents.
