Getting a Minnesota real estate license: common questions
How many hours of pre-license education does Minnesota require?
90 hours: a 30-hour course before the exam and an additional 60 hours before you file your license application.
What must the extra 60 hours include?
At least 3 hours of state and federal fair housing law and 2 hours on agency representation and disclosure.
Can I take the exam before finishing all 90 hours?
Yes. Only the first 30-hour course is required before the exam; the other 60 hours must be done before you apply for your license.
What could make me ineligible?
You can't take the exam if a real estate license of yours was revoked in Minnesota or any other state within two years of applying.
