Maine sales agent to associate broker: common questions
Can I renew a Maine sales agent license?
No. The sales agent license has a two-year, non-renewable term. To keep practicing, you move up to an associate broker license.
What do I need for an associate broker license?
Two years of practice as an actively licensed sales agent and the 60-hour Associate Broker Course, with its Documented Field Experience Form, completed with a final grade of 75% or higher.
Should a sales agent go inactive?
The Commission doesn't recommend it, because the license is non-renewable and two years of active affiliation is required for the associate broker license.
