Indiana CE renewal: common questions
How many CE hours do Indiana real estate brokers need?
12 hours every CE year, which runs July 1 through June 30, to renew in Active or Unassigned status.
Do I need CE if my license is inactive?
No. Brokers in Inactive or Referral status don't need CE to renew.
Do I send my CE certificates when I renew?
No. After the renewal period, the Commission runs a random audit and emails anyone chosen to send copies. Don't renew until you've finished all your CE.
What if I hold managing broker eligibility?
Then 4 of your 12 yearly hours must be managing broker CE.
What if my license expired?
If it's been expired three or more years, you need 36 hours of CE and must retake the state exam. After nine or more years, you retake the 90-hour pre-license course and both exams.
