North Dakota CE renewal: common questions
How many CE hours do North Dakota real estate licensees need?
For the 2025-2026 cycle, resident salespersons, broker associates and brokers need 12 hours of elective topics of their choice. There are no mandatory topics this cycle.
When is the renewal deadline?
Renew active or inactive licenses for 2027 by the end of the day on November 15, 2026, or late fees apply.
What if I haven't finished my CE?
Renew as inactive for 2027. Once your CE is completed, you can transfer to active effective January 1, 2027 or later.
Can teaching count as CE?
CE instructors can request 1 hour of credit per hour teaching a unique course, up to 50% of the required CE.
