Does New Jersey require post-licensing education?
No. There's no post-license course. Whether you need CE for your first renewal depends on when in the two-year term you were licensed.
Do I need CE for my first renewal?
Only if you were licensed in the first year of the term. For the term ending June 30, 2027, salespersons licensed before July 1, 2026 need 12 hours; those licensed on or after July 1, 2026 don't.
What CE do I need when it applies?
12 credit hours, at least 6 in core topics including at least 2 hours of ethics, 1 hour of Fair Housing and NJ Law Against Discrimination, and 1 hour of agency, completed by the CE deadline.
