Colorado first renewal: common questions

Does Colorado require post-licensing education?

No. There's no separate post-license course in Colorado.

When is my first renewal?

Before December 31 of the year you were first licensed. Your initial license runs less than a year so your renewal lines up with the three-year licensing cycle.

Do I need CE for my first renewal?

No. If your initial license was issued February 21, 2022 and expires December 31, 2022, no CE is required for that first renewal.

What comes after the first renewal?

Three-year licensing cycles, each needing 24 hours of CE that include three different Annual Commission Updates.
