Arizona CE renewal: common questions
How many CE hours do Arizona real estate agents need?
24 credit hours of ADRE-approved continuing education every two-year license period for salespersons and associate brokers. Designated brokers need 30.
Which categories are required?
At least 3 hours in each mandatory category: agency law, contract law, requirements for licensees, real estate legal issues, fair housing and disclosure. Since January 1, 2025, your hours must also include 1 hour each on Firewise, Deed Fraud and Arizona Water.
Does my school report my CE to ADRE?
No. You get a certificate with the course number and dates, and you enter it yourself through the ADRE Licensee Login.
Why won't the system let me renew when I have enough hours?
Credits are tracked by category. If any required category is short, renewal is blocked even when your total is high enough. Extra hours in a category flow into your elective hours.
Can extra CE count toward my next renewal?
Courses finished after you meet the requirement and within 90 days of a renewal can count toward the next license period, but not toward two periods.
